The third focal point during a review of a wind turbine is the electrical equipment. Here it is also possible to detect “invisible” weaknesses during the operation of the wind turbine. By means of electro-thermo graphics we can detect conspicuous heat development within current-carrying elements. Special focus lies on connection and contact units. The advantage of electro-thermo graphical measurements is obvious: in order to check the equipment, the turbine does not have to be powered down; it remains on the grid.
